S.S.R.D.O.D. created the Rare Diseases Academy – Hellas, wishing to offer Physicians and other Health Scientists the competence and knowledge they need in order to proceed to early and correct diagnoses, and also give the adequate treatment and instructions to patients who suffer from rare diseases.

The Rare Diseases Academy – Hellas focuses on rare diseases, because of their diverse and difficult diagnosis.

The purpose of the Academy’s Educational Program is to offer the Medical and Scientific Community in general the opportunity of education, development and sharing of new ideas, as well as to enhance scientific collaboration.

The instructors of the Educational Program will be specialized and recognized Scientists, with a long-term involvement and rich experience in rare diseases and orphan drugs.

Initially, the Program will focus on providing information to the Medical Community and the related Scientists. The task of planning the Program and specifying the Subjects will be delegated to a Special Scientific Committee.

Participating Physicians shall obtain Continuing Medical Education Credits.
