Chiotis Dimitrios

Mr. Dimitrios Chiotis is Children’s Endocrinologist, University of Athens, Medical School, Head of Children’s Endocrinologist Clinic at EUROCLINIC, Athens.

 

 

Born in Sparta, Laconia.
Graduate of the Medical School, University of Athens.
Specialized in Pediatrics and Endocrinology.
PhD, University of Athens.

Scientific Associate of the 1st Pediatric Department of the University of Athens.

Member of a various Greek and international scientific associations.

Founding member of the Hellenic Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology, of which he was the Secretary General for twelve years.

Founding member of the “Association of Children and Adolescents with Endocrinological problems” (Galinos) and member of its Board of Directors.

President of the Hellenic Diabetes Fereration (EL.O.DI.)

In the framework of the above activities, he has organized many post-graduate seminars for medical doctors, mainly pediatricians and endocrinologists, as well as informative and advisory seminars for the general public.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic National Diabetes Centre (E.KE.DI.)

Initiator of the magazine «Diabetes  Mellitus - Caring for Everyone», which is distributed to all diabetological clinics and centers across the country.

Since 2002 Director of the Endocrinological Clinic as well as of the Center for Child Obesity at the Children’s Euroclinic (“Eurokliniki Paidon”).

His main fields of activity are Child Obesity and Diabetes.

He was one of the main contributors to the development of the Children’s Growth Charts, which – since 2002 – are included in the children’s medical records and are used as the National Child Growth Standards.
